Movie Review : Requiem for a Dream

The film itself is taught by Darren Aronofsky. The "requiem for a Dream" director Darren Aronofsky adaptation of Hubert Selby Jr. 's novel awful, the filmmakers' visuals is really a personal statement, a brand of dynamism, the technology is not just for themselves explosive but is an integral part of the story. The book is relentlessly dark and the flashes of visual understanding of the director, who wrote the screenplay with Hubert Selby is given, was postponed because he was in love red. For Starters, has pointed out that this film is a downer, and a knockout. "dead" interweaves the stories of four drug addicts, Harry (Jared Leto), his mother Sara (Ellen Burstyn), his girlfriend Marion (Jennifer Connelly) and her partner in crime / friend Tyrone (Marlon connected to erase Wayans) in their pursuit of a real high. However, the picture holds close to the theme of the novel is the real medicine that we all "American Dream" is, in his promises of big cash paydays and fame and eventually happiness.

As the movie began, Harry sometimes agree with his mother Sara Goldfarb for his regular appointment to steal and 1970, relic farmers a television set. Soon, however, he was a gift from him, a Sony TV that marked all the bells and whistles with a new VCR and a large tower speakers on both sides of the new TV to take. In a role reversal is offensive feelings, Harry adults. He recognizes the natural teeth grinding his mother as careless behavior of a television amphetamines, he was eating pills prescribed by a doctor so they can weight in on their favorite TV segments to go for a raise roof connected to-the-weight-loss infomercial with a predatory host (Christopher McDonald). The hardness of the infomercial is another detail, the perfect pitch.

The history of the characters is a dream-search. Harry wants to become rich, his mother wants to marry him and happy with the bonus of a possible grandchildren, Marion and wanted a part of his life. He talks her out of his previous therapist, so they must keep some money in the drug trade can get Harry. Their revulsion is so visceral you can make the bile in his mouth. Jennifer Connelly whittled down to a new kind of weight, and it was her performance that gives the film weight, as they fall is the steepest. By the end of the film, as he curls in a happy fetal ball with a pleasant smile on the face, they came to his shame as a graphic orgy are shown in a few minutes before this love scene. Its implementation for Disruptive and Connelly has not done anything to us how good he was here to prepare.

Will Aronofsky takes astonishing show from his actors. The welcome revelation, Marlon Wayans, whose work can border on comedic sobra loud and make you cringe at the same time. His hyperactivity conveys a compelling need for the attention of someone so more frightening presence. In one of the most haunting moment of the film we see Tyrone and stared with his new glasses and he flashback to a time when all his problems only comforted by her mother away. Here, as Harry's dream of running buddy, he lets the charisma, the work for him and dissolves exacerbated by all the tensions that his lower jaw muscle. For a moment we are not sure if this is really Marlon Wayans. This, however, and his face was not negligent of hobbies, was born the repression of freedom keeps him alert and wired. He related to Jared Leto, and two of them do incredibly real and believable pair, a plan of running its own drug trading business.

The biggest and most tragic power, the representation of Ellen Burstyn Sara Goldfarb. This is a role that strips all her vanity and showing the decline of a sweet, caring mother who is alone and just wanted his son Harry lived there. Watching his mind slowly dissolve in the madness is the thing that income to see the movie. It is a tragedy that one of the greatest achievements you an Actress is not the Oscar. I think it's as good as it is not just a performance, but a living breathing human suicide is set to film and only transcends the theater. Ellen Burstyn produces something that should be monitored, and reports by a wannabe actor.

Instead of resorting to the stereotype of junkies active status, "growled the director of their race, because he wants to show how quickly time passes when they are high. And this explains why their life is empty so if they consume drugs that movie was not made clear before. set of noisy passing the addicts "nirvana," dead "at a premium to important medicines time.

"Mass dead" also wanted the number is larger that the addicts, as indicated in the rituals of getting high as they are manufactured endorphin Rush itself.Brilliant cinematographer Matthew Libatique, shoot these sequences so painstakingly risk some People think the film glorifies the terrible habits. It is not, and jump into the nightmare continued destruction is made clear as the use of heroin, cocaine and coffee. This film glorifies addiction in any way it puts a hard face on it and all these people come away from the film, the drug is about movie characters, and then do not we as a society . Personally, I think, should have considered it necessary, in high schools throughout the country to show the seriousness of the situation that users of illegal or prescription drugs.
Finally, "dead" is a powerful visual representation of the lives of the characters and their thinking. Refrigerator will sprout greedy throat, and the view through a dirty window on a rainy, dark street suddenly sunny and bright. The people in "requiem for a Dream" can see nothing before them, and not really confident in themselves until it is too late. It's not clear when the film is set, but his Brighton Beach is certainly not good. The time of the film is set to be irrelevant, because it is a masterpiece, which speaks for our past, present and future. It is no doubt, the most modern filmmaking.

Be warned: it is not for the faint of heart. It is brutal, powerful, churning stomach, and not particularly great. But assuming you received prepared for the trip, it will forget you. "5 Star Rating" for the movie itself.
